House alterations
2000-2020A two storey upper terraced house, which had been used as a bed and breakfast for long term residents. The interior had been converted according to pragmatic rather than aesthetic considerations, with extensive fire alarm systems, numerous showers and a neglected fabric detracting from generously proportioned and light spaces. The renovations started by stripping out the former alterations, and used specific formal elements (built-in furniture and storage) and colours to establish a new character for each room and circulation space.
