Avonside Housing competition

Limited compettion entry. Designed for a private housebuilder for a site which had too steep a slope to be able to use their standard house types. Three houses were required, to suit families with three or four children. The company wanted to use the opportunity of the 'one-off' project to investigate more modern alternatives to their usual house types. The proposals were designed to be energy efficient in response to site, climate and occupiers, and to allow a degree of flexibility to suit the ways the family makeup could be expected to change over time.
